Today in the era of developed technologies, and because of the widespread of the Internet, which eases the process of communication and exchange of knowledge, it became possible to receive lessons and lectures, teaching, learning any skill without having the seeker of knowledge to pay exorbitant amounts for this purpose. It is now possible affiliation to the university colleges and institutes without the student forced to go on a daily or almost daily to the university or college.

These facilities and services have played and still playing an important role in the evolution of human societies. Libya is not isolated from this humanitarian movement and seeking to obtain the necessary knowledge and sciences that contribute to the growth and development process of its society, which sought to catch up with those who preceded it from the developing societies in Arab and North Africa regions and the world. However, the professional and educational development process in Libya is facing these days many challenges and obstacles due to the uncertainty about the current security situation and the political, social, and economic instability in Libya, and the level of risk, which is a clear impediment to any attempt to bring teaching or training staff from abroad to Libya. As alternatives, to adapt itself to this critical situation, and contribute to in helping its society to overcome these dilemmas, Alwaha Foundation for Education & Training, is planning to adopt e-learning approach, in other words, distance learning by using distance learning facilities and means of modern and sophisticated electronic communication media.

Alwaha Foundation for education and training was keen – since the first moment of its launch, and engaging in investment activity in the private education and training sector – to be a real and active partner of Libyan society. Employing all its human and material resources to contribute to the current construction and development process, which would lead to the lifting of cultural, scientific and social level among members of society, and gapping the shortage in qualified and trained human resources in some areas.
